ECO Air COMPACT is based on a two-part cast suspension that is screwed on diagonally. In combination with the four points of support, this guarantees optimum power transmission, and the integration is also entirely maintenance-free. The new, asymmetrical steel-rubber bush that is thus appropriately designed to operational demands for the first time contributes to lower tyre wear through its optimum track guidance, whilst at the same time ensuring particularly high driving comfort. Consistent load absorption and even deformation ensure smooth operation and a long service life. Absolute freedom from maintenance and the robust design thus guarantee the vehicle operator considerably reduced operating costs.
Leaner production
One does not need to wait for road performance to judge the economic efficiency of a running gear. It is for that reason that the new ECO Air COMPACT is tailored to leaner manufacturing processes in trailer assembly. The proof: the ECO Air COMPACT running gear programme gets by with only 2 types of hanger bracket, 2 types of trailing arm and 3 types of bellows support. That means greater flexibility whilst also reducing inventory costs and providing savings in terms of time, effort and cost.
Easier forward travel
An integral component of the new running gear system is the ECO Air tank. Made of glass fibre, absolutely corrosion-free and above all considerably lighter! Up to 60% of the weight can be dispensed in comparison to steel tanks. This means a gain in terms of payload. The high-quality composite air tanks are available in the conventional sizes between 30 and 120 litres.
