Re-thinking urban transport

Smart solutions for city logistics

Smart solutions for city logistics

Strengthen your fleet for the future, because stricter environmental regulations, booming online trade and new technologies are radically changing inner-city distribution transport. The first cities should be diesel-free by 2020. However, the electric vehicles required are in short supply and existing fleets are yet to be scrapped. Those not wanting to miss their chance are signing up today and upgrading to E-axles from BPW – for efficient, sustainable and economic transport down to the last mile.

The right offer for you

eTransport: Zero-emission, electric, commercial vehicles

Given the finite nature of fossil fuels, a great deal of hope is placed in electromobility. BPW has therefore developed an innovative solution. With the electric drive axle eTransport, BPW has developed the key technology for rendering haulage of the future - emission-free and efficient.

In eTransport, the axle, electric drive and energy storage form a system which can be integrated into various vehicle models. The drive is emission-free, recuperates braking energy and improves the manoeuvrability of delivery vehicles by actively supporting the steering.

Technological study ePower from BPW:
Emission-free generation of energy in the trailer with ePower

BPW relies on intelligent electrification of truck traffic. The ePower wheel hub generator supplies consumers in the trailer with electrical energy from recuperation, a technical process for energy recovery. The technological study for energy recovery at the trailer was developed using wheel hub generators. These are particularly suitable for the energy supply of refrigerated vehicles, since already when equipping an axle with two ePower wheel hub generators, enough energy is generated during the braking process to operate the refrigerated vehicle. This reduces diesel consumption by around 2,500 litres per year.
