40 Issue Two 2012 Portrait Heavy transport specialist Goldhofer presents a unique side-girder deck, which is capable of carrying five times its own weight. The colossus with the »Factor 5« Weighing only 100 tonnes itself, Goldhofer’s new side-girder deck can transport a cargo of 500 tonnes. The deck is constructed using high-strength, fine-grain steel, which makes it significantly lighter than comparable decks.
