eTransport: Zero-emission, electric, commercial vehicles
Given the finite nature of fossil fuels, a great deal of hope is placed in electromobility. BPW has therefore developed an innovative solution. With the electric drive axle eTransport, BPW has developed the key technology for rendering haulage of the future - emission-free and efficient.
In eTransport, the axle, electric drive and energy storage form a system which can be integrated into various vehicle models. The drive is emission-free, recuperates braking energy and improves the manoeuvrability of delivery vehicles by actively supporting the steering.

Emission-free generation of energy in the trailer with ePower
BPW relies on intelligent electrification of truck traffic. The ePower wheel hub generator supplies consumers in the trailer with electrical energy from recuperation, a technical process for energy recovery. The technological study for energy recovery at the trailer was developed using wheel hub generators. These are particularly suitable for the energy supply of refrigerated vehicles, since already when equipping an axle with two ePower wheel hub generators, enough energy is generated during the braking process to operate the refrigerated vehicle. This reduces diesel consumption by around 2,500 litres per year.
