Clearly labelled shipping units facilitate work and ensure uninterrupted workflows. Goods shipments to BPW should therefore be identified with a goods label conforming to VDA 4902, Version 4, BPW specification. This page provides the minimum requirements for the data content as well as a sample.

This specification must be adhered to unless other agreements are made between the supplier and the receiving BPW plant.

All mandatory data and barcodes must be shown on the goods label. According to recommendations by the VDA and ODETTE, Code 39 should be used. Code 128 is acceptable as well.
